Do you travel with your laptop? How do you connect to the Internet using your laptop? What if your laptop can act like a phone? Connect to the best Internet, browse websites, and e-mail or gaming without a WiFi connection. Many of you may not know you can use the same type of cellular connectivity to connect your laptop to the Internet without using WiFi just like your phone.
You may think about tethering, which creates a hotspot and connects to the Internet. But cellular is better than tethering because it’s easier to use, more reliable, and secure with less data and battery consumption. Our team oversees device connectivity and allows your Windows devices to connect to the Internet with eSIM.
What’s eSIM?
An eSIM lets you connect to the Internet over a cellular data connection without a physical SIM card from your mobile operator. Remember when you bought your phone, you had to insert a small chip into it. That’s a SIM card that allows you to connect to the cellular network.
An eSIM allows you to download virtual SIM cards from the Internet and choose different data plans based on your needs. The main benefit of eSIM over a traditional SIM card is that it’s simple to activate. You’re probably wondering how I use eSIM?
Microsoft made it easy for Windows users to manage eSIM profiles. They have created an app called Mobile Plans for Windows devices. With Mobile Plans, you can download different data plans and manage them all from your laptop. You’re able to connect your current data plans or buy data plans on demand. In order to use eSIM on your laptop, you must be using Windows 10 Creators Update version 1703 or later and your PC must be eSIM capable.
