How to Download Windows 11 onto a USB Flash Drive

After the release of Windows 10 in 2015, Microsoft announced Windows 11 on June 24, 2021, as the next major version of the Windows NT operating system.

On October 5, 2021, Microsoft made Windows 11 available as a free upgrade for compatible Windows 10 devices through Windows Update and the Windows 11 Installation Assistant. On the same day that Windows 11 was released online, June 15, 2021, the aforementioned build was also released. A leak developed.

The UI in screenshots and leaked builds looks much like the scrapped Windows 10X, with changes to the OOBE and Windows 11 branding.

Panay, a Microsoft employee, later confirmed the legitimacy of the stolen beta, calling it an “initial weird build.” Microsoft revealed the “Holiday 2021” release date for Windows 11 at a June 24 media event.

With its arrival, users of compatible Windows 10 devices will be able to get the update for free through Windows Update. Microsoft released the first Windows 11 Preview and Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows Insiders on June 28.
